As with all the specialists, Dr. Cresta aims to be approachable and establish a working relationship with referring practitioners for the benefit of their patients. If you wish to discuss a case prior to referring then please do call or e-mail our specialist at the practice. Similarly, once referred, if our specialist is unclear about the Endodontic treatment being requested, or feel other options are available, they will contact you as soon as is practical.

The referral process

After receiving your referral we will send your patient a consultation appointment and include useful information describing endodontic treatment for their perusal. Following the consultation, Dr. Cresta will agree the treatment plan and costs with the patient and a subsequent treatment appointment will be offered at our Edinburgh practice.

Wherever possible please send any relevant radiographs with your referral letter. These will be returned to you on completion of the patient's treatment.

On completion of treatment, the patient will be referred back to your care for the completion of any restorative work that may be required. A full report, along with supporting treatment radiographs, will be sent to you.
